Dr. Corey Latta
Faculty Mentor

Dr. Corey Latta has worked in higher education for over twenty years in both faculty and leadership roles. He has served in positions ranging from Associate Professor, Director of an Online PhD Program, and Vice President of Academics in both residential and online education. In addition to his experience in higher education, Corey has worked as a therapist in private practice, specializing in creative therapies for couples and families.
Corey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies, a Master of Arts in New Testament Studies, a Master of Arts in English, a PhD in English, and a Master of Arts in Counseling. He is also a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Corey has published and presented extensively in the areas of literary studies as well as counseling. He is the author of several articles, contributed chapters, and books, including C. S. Lewis and the Art of Writing. Corey is also a speaker, giving talks on topics ranging from C. S. Lewis, effective online pedagogy, narrative therapy, and healing from trauma.
Corey lives in Memphis, TN with his four kids and two Bernese Mountain dogs. In his spare time, he loves a cappuccino and a book in a coffee shop, traveling, writing, and going to the movies.
