Chris Karabiyik

Instructional Designer

Chris holds a master’s degree in philosophy from Florida State University and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Florida Atlantic University, where she minored in Classical Studies. While working as a tutor during her bachelor’s, she found her love of learning expanded into a love of teaching. While pursuing her master’s, she worked as a philosophy teaching assistant at Florida State and began contracting as an e-learning developer, moving into Instructional Design following her graduation.

A Pennsylvania native, Chris lives in North Florida with her partner and their cat. She is an amateur chef, loves travel, and collects facts that are only useful in trivia. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, ethical debates, and researching her ever-changing niche interests. Currently, she is interested in personality typing systems, astrology, and patterns of social behavior.

“I am passionate about making higher education approachable and working to remove the barriers in course design that hinder students from completing their programs. Through Instructional Design, I can help educators use their knowledge to build a functional and engaging digital learning experience. It brings me great joy to know that I am making a meaningful and positive impact on the next generation of learners.”
