5: The Magellan Main Office

The Magellan Main Office is located at 828 Main Street, Suite 1800, in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Guests
Our office space was designed to be open and welcoming to clients, vendors, and contractors with minimal disruption to staff. If we are planning a client visit or a social event, management will make staff aware of the purpose, schedule, duration and any protocol to be observed.
If you need to use the conference table, please look for the Conference Table schedule on Outlook to book your time. Please do not assume that the table is available.
Guest Wifi
When guests are here, they frequently need access to wifi. Having the QR code placed on materials or on the conference table makes this easy. In a pinch, look on the windowsill in the office sitting area for the QR code for your guests.
Your personal safety is always Priority #1. Familiarize yourself with our office safety protocols below.
There are two exits from the main office, one from the lobby, and one in the kitchen.
In case of fire, use the stairs by the restrooms. Those stairs do not open on the 2nd or 19th floor for tenant security reasons.
If you are told to evacuate, do NOT go back for phones, purses and other personal belongings.
The fire extinguisher is in the exterior hallway by the kitchen exit. Have someone else call 911.
If you use the fire extinguisher, stand 6-8′ away from the fire.
Use the acronym PASS to put out the fire:
- PULL the pin,
- AIM at the base of the fire,
- SQUEEZE the trigger,
- SWEEP side to side.
The fire alarm pull stations are located in the main corridor near the doors to both stairwells.
If there is ever an evacuation, make your way to the Midtown Parking Deck entrance after you evacuate the building. We want to account for everyone!
Situational Awareness
In places like the parking garage or the loading dock, be aware of your surroundings. Walk with purpose, head up, and be ready to make eye contact.
If a person or situation makes you uncomfortable, trust your instincts.
Reporting a safety concern, accident, or a “near miss” is everyone’s responsibility. Report these to your supervisor, Operations, or any member of management!
Remember, find it so we can fix it!
If needed, you will receive a badge to enter the office.
